At Trinity Steel Structures, we want to reward you when you choose us for your…
We have partnered with a concrete company that will help our customers’ construction experience. One key element in constructing a metal building is the foundation work. A strong foundation provides stability and ensures that your steel building can withstand various loads and environmental conditions. Properly constructed foundations for metal buildings, which are typically lightweight structures, are critical in anchoring the building to the ground correctly. Without a strong foundation, a metal building may be susceptible to movement or even collapse under certain conditions.
Using a concrete company that is experienced and knowledgeable in this type of foundation work is an important part of the construction project for a metal building.

We Make the Process Easier
Trinity Steel Structures wants to make the process of putting a metal building on the ground easier for you. That’s why we’ve partnered with a trusted nationwide concrete provider that specializes in site preparation and slab construction. Through a streamlined quoting process for qualifying sites, customers can receive clear pricing and professional guidance to help move their project forward with confidence.
Our concrete partner provides dependable service across many areas, helping simplify the process of coordinating both your building and foundation needs.
Reliable Pricing and a Smooth Experience
With our concrete partner, customers can receive straightforward pricing for sites that meet standard grading requirements of up to a 2% slope. Their process is designed to make planning easier while providing professional service from start to finish.
For sites requiring additional leveling, special access, or unique conditions, custom adjustments may be needed to ensure the best long-term result.
The Concrete Foundation is Important
Site preparation and foundation work are critically important to the success of the project. A concrete foundation laid properly provides essential structural stability, load distribution, and long-term durability. If your land isn’t cleared, graded, and leveled properly, you may have drainage issues and other problems, such as severe structural instability, misaligned doors/windows, and premature failure.
A Concrete Foundation Expert Ensures Proper Installation
Ensuring a proper foundation requires careful site preparation, accurate grading, solid formwork, and reinforcement designed to meet your building’s needs. Our concrete partner’s standard package includes a 4” slab with reinforced footers for most projects.
For customers planning to install a vehicle lift or requiring heavier-duty use, a 6” slab is recommended for added support. Please note that concrete requires a 28-day cure time before building installation can begin. Sites over a 2% grade, limited access areas, or projects requiring special equipment may involve additional preparation or costs.

Using an Experienced Concrete Contractor for Proper Installation
Proper installation requires an experienced contractor, like our partner, who knows how to correctly pour and reinforce the concrete foundation.
Being experienced in the process of preparing the site with excavation and installation of a sub-base sets an expert apart from the rest. The process of pouring a minimum 4-inch slab with 3,000 PSI concrete with 12” x 12” perimeter footers in a continuous session avoids weak “cold joints.” Even with the smallest metal shed, footers are important. Footers play a critical role in structural stability and help reduce the risk of cracking when anchors are installed.
Adding a rat (sheeting) ledge, a small but powerful upgrade, increases long-term value to your slab and one we recommend. A rat ledge serves as a moisture barrier and a pest deterrent (especially for rodents). This perimeter ledge helps prevent water intrusion under the base rail, minimizes chipping or cracking during anchoring, and significantly enhances the durability and lifespan of your foundation.
Our Customers Benefit from this Partnership
Trinity Steel Structures is confident that adding this partnership will benefit our customers. A metal building can greatly enhance your property by providing shelter for vehicles–cars, trucks, recreational vehicles, tools, and equipment–as well as space for workshops and other needs. Constructing a metal building requires careful planning (for example, gaining permits, deciding on the orientation and size) and site preparation.
By combining a highly experienced concrete partner with proven installation standards and smart upgrades, you can move forward with confidence by knowing your building is supported by a foundation that is built to last!
